The concept of blood purification is somewhat new to modern medicine. However, it is central to a holistic treatment paradigm. Purified blood would wash and soothe the internal organs. Each capsule of BITREEN^® contains 100mg of standardised neem extract (Azadirachta indica) which provides 3% of total bitters. The dosage of the active ingredient remains the same for every batch. Our BITREEN^® Neem capsules are obtained from the leaves of the neem tree. The neem tree is a tropical evergreen related to mahogany. Native to east India and Burma, it also grows in Southeast Asia and West Africa. It belongs to the family Meliaceae. Its botanical name is Azadirachta indica which literally means ‘the free tree’.

It has been used for its medicinal properties for more than 4,500 years.

Neem leaves are bitter in taste. The bitterness is due to an array of complex compounds called ‘triterpenes’ or more specifically ‘limonoids’. The most important bioactive principle is azadirachtin. We have formulated BITREEN^® in a capsule form to make it easier to consume.

BITREEN^® is the first and only standardised neem extract. Standardised extracts are far superior to non-standardised extracts. Standardisation is a standard measure of neem’s quality and activity. This measure is determined by how much of a special active or marker ingredient is in each neem product. For example, each BITREEN^® Neem capsules contains 100mg of standardised neem extract which provides 3% of total bitters.

Numerous of possible toxicity tests assured that leaf and bark are very low in toxicity especially when taken orally (Khattak, 1985); (Sinnia, 1981, 1983); (Uwaifo, 1984); (Pillai and Santhakumari, 1948b). Neem not only kills some infective organisms directly but also boosts the immune response on several levels. This increases the body’s ability to fight bacterial, viral and fungicidal infections itself. BITREEN^® appears to be very safe to consume in reasonable quantities.

All elimination of toxins must go through the liver, which is the largest organ in the body. The liver is the organ that can do blood purification. Toxins accumulated over the years eg: nitrites, nitrates and the sulphites normally get trapped and stored in the body as fat-soluble toxins. BITREEN^® enhances the liver to work better by hydrolyzing the fat compounds of toxins and converting it to more water-soluble compounds that can come out through the sweat and urination. This purifies and cleanses blood.

BITREEN^® works naturally but slowly. It works from deep within. After a few days of taking BITREEN^®, you may notice an initial worsening symptom. This is natural and to be expected.
